The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has started the application process for the Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination (SSC CHSL 2024) by releasing the notification. Candidates can check the SSC CHSL Tier 1 notification and apply for it on the commission’s website ssc.gov.in. This time around 3,712 vacancies will be filled through the examination. The last date for application is 7th May. In such a situation, it is advisable to apply by the prescribed date. Because after this the form will not be accepted.

SSC CHSL 2024 Important Date:

  • Last date for fee payment: 8 May (11 pm)
  • Correction Window: May 10 to 11 (11 pm)
  • Tier 1 Exam: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 July 2024
  • Tier 2 Exam: To be announced later.

Number of Vacancies is Provisional:

The number of vacancies mentioned in the notification is tentative and the exact number will be determined later. The Commission has said, “Updated vacancies, if any, along with post-wise and category-wise vacancies will be made available in due course of time on the Commission’s website https://ssc.gov.in.”

Age Range:

Applicant’s age should be between 18-27 years as of 1st August 2024, i.e. they should not be born before 2nd August 1997 and after 1st August 2006. However, reserved category candidates will also be given age relaxation. Candidates can check more information in the notification issued on the official website.

Educational Qualification:

For Data Entry Operator (DEO)/DEO Grade ‘A’ in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution & Culture, candidates must have passed the 12th class in the Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized board. However, candidates having other equivalent degrees can also apply.

Whereas, for DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ and all LDC/JSA posts in other departments or ministries, candidates should have passed the 12th class from a recognized board or university. Candidates who have appeared in their Class 12 or equivalent examination can also apply if they have the required qualifications on or before the cut-off date of August 1, 2024.

Application Fee:

The application fee for recruitment is fixed at Rs 100. Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD), and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation will not have to pay any application fee.
