India’s largest IT company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has recently recruited more than 10,000 new students from the college. The company has decided to speed up hiring given the expectation of an increase in demand in the new financial year.
TCS is Hiring Through NQT:
According to the information given to the stock market along with the quarterly results, TCS has recently changed its hiring process and has now started taking the ‘National Qualifier Test’ (NQT). National Qualifier Test i.e. NQT is a test through which TCS checks the eligibility of the students. TCS iON prepares this test itself. Now college students have to apply for NQT for hiring in TCS.
The last date for this year’s application was 10 April 2024. TCS is going to conduct NQT this year in colleges on the 26th of April. TCS has said that NQT is a placement process that every student has to go through. Apart from this, TCS is adopting the same old pattern of recruitment in some major colleges.
Offering Packages Up To Rs 11.5 Lakh:
Tata Consultancy Services hires freshers in three types of categories. There is a Ninja in this which offers packages up to Rs 3.36 lakh. Whereas in the digital category, a package of up to Rs 7 lakh is offered. The maximum package of Rs 9 to 11.5 lakh is offered to freshers in the prime category.
TCS Released Quarterly Results:
TCS released the results for the fourth quarter of the financial year 2023-24 on Friday. During the period from January to March, the company has made a total net profit of Rs 12,434 crore. This is 9% more than last year. After this, the company announced a dividend of Rs 28 to its shareholders.
