IITD Recruitment 2024: PhD in English? Apply for Teaching Positions with Salary Up to ₹75,000

IITD Recruitment 2024: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has released recruitment for the posts of English Language Instructors. The application process for this recruitment has started. Applicants can download the application form for the post of English Language Instructor available on the IIT Delhi website https://home.iitd.ac.in/jobs-iitd/index.php under the “Faculty Posts” section. Candidates can submit the application form by 26 November.

The filled and signed application form, along with self-attested copies of all required documents/certificates (through the employer if applicable) must be submitted to the given address of IIT Delhi. Candidates should also ensure that the applications arrive by the last date.

Essential Qualification:

Candidates must have a PhD degree in English or allied subjects.
Candidates should have passed an M.A. in English or allied subjects with first division.
Candidates should be below 45 years of age. However, there is a relaxation of 3 years in the age limit for OBC-NCL candidates and 5 years for ST candidates.

Salary will be Rs 75,000:

Initially, this post will be on a contract basis for one year. The contract can be extended up to three years. Consolidated salary of Rs 75,000 per month + benefits like house rent allowance at the rate of 27 percent on consolidated salary will be available.

The official notification states, “The Institute reserves the right to conduct a test to shortlist candidates for interview if required. The post will be on a contract basis initially for one year and may be extended up to three more years. Mere fulfillment of the required minimum qualification and experience does not entitle the candidate to be called for written test/interview.”
