Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Extends JNV Selection Test Deadline for Class VI Admissions

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has extended the last date for registration of the JNV Selection Test for admission in class VI. Parents can register for admission of their children on navodaya.gov.in.

JNVST 2024 Registration Last Date:

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has extended the last date for application of the JNV Selection Test 2025-26 for admission to class VI. Parents who have not been able to fill out the form for their children can now register from navodaya.gov.in till 23 September. Earlier the last date to fill out the application form was 16 September. While filling out the registration form, necessary documents including the child’s photo, parents’ signature, Aadhar card, and residence certificate will have to be uploaded. The information given by the parents will be verified by the headmaster of the school from which the child has passed class 5th. The child will be allowed admission to the JNV school in the district where he passed class 5th.

Age Limit:

To get admission in class VI in JNV, the student should be born between 1 May 2013 to 31 July 2015.

Exam Schedule:

The JNV selection test will be conducted in 2 phases. The first exam will be conducted on 18 January 2025. At the same time, the second phase exam will be conducted on 12 April 2025. The timing of the exam for both phases will be from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Exam Pattern:

In the JNV sixth class entrance exam, students will have 40 questions related to the mental ability of 50 marks. 20 questions of 25 marks will be in arithmetic. 20 questions of 25 marks will be asked in the language test. These three sections will be included in a single-task booklet. In which there will be 80 questions of 100 marks in total. Students will be given 2 hours to solve the question paper. At the same time, 40 minutes of extra time will be given to disabled students.

According to the notification issued by JNV, at present, there are a total of 653 Navodaya Vidyalayas in 27 states and 8 union territories of the country.
