PM Vidyalakshmi Yojana: The portal and guidelines of PM-Vidyalakshmi Yojana will be ready in two weeks. The Union Education Ministry has started preparing to draft the PM-Vidyalakshmi scheme for meritorious students as soon as cabinet approval is received. A senior official said that first the guidelines will be prepared in collaboration with all the banks. All the work will be digital.
All work will be done through the portal:
A separate portal will be created for the PM-Vidyalakshmi scheme. Through the portal, the student will transfer money to his account online, from an online application to verification of documents. Higher education institutions will also verify the student online.
Students will have to fill in only two documents to avail the benefits of the scheme. This will speed up the application and save time. The scheme also includes all IITs, IIMs, NITs, IIITs, AIIMS, and institutions subordinate to the government or receiving funds. Also, higher education institutions of the states included in the top 200 NIRF will also be included.

He said in a social media post, that the Cabinet has approved the PM-Vidyalakshmi scheme to support the youth by providing quality education.
