Educational Qualification for Sports Quota Jobs :
The minimum educational qualification to get a government job from sports quota is 10th and Intermediate pass. However, all government departments have different selection criteria for sports quota jobs. Which is necessary to fulfill. Apart from this, there is a provision of different eligibility criteria according to different grade pay for jobs in sports quota. Some of its basic rules are as follows-
-The player should have represented the state or country in national or international competition.
-The player should have represented his university in the inter-university tournament organized by the Inter-University Sports Board.
-The player should have represented the state school team in the national game/games organized for schools by the All India School Games Federation.
-The player who has received the National Physical Efficiency Award in the National Physical Efficiency Drive.

The recruitment process for government posts under sports quota :
Recruitment for government posts under sports quota is done based on written examination/sports trial/medical test and then interview. The preference order for the recruitment of sportspersons is as follows-
– In sports quota recruitment, priority is given to those players who have represented the country in international competition with the approval of the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports.
– The second priority is given to those players who have represented a state/union territory. They have secured at least third position or won medals in senior or junior-level national championships organized by national sports federations recognized by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports or national games organized by the Indian Olympic Association.
– The third priority is given to those players who have represented a university in the inter-university tournament organized by the Association of Indian Universities / Inter-University Sports Board and have secured at least third position in the final.
– In recruitment to government posts, the fourth priority is given to those players who have won a medal along with representing state schools in the National Sports / Games for School organized by the All India School Games Federation.
-The lowest preference is given to those players who have won the National Award for Physical Efficiency in the National Physical Efficiency Drive or have represented the State/Union Territory/University/State School team.
