UP Bijli Sakhi Yojana: This yojana has been started to employ women associated with self-help groups and the National Livelihood Mission of Uttar Pradesh. In this, women will be assigned the task of depositing electricity bills by going door to door in rural areas.
Bidyut Sakhi is given a commission of 20 rupees on every bill and 1% on depositing bills of more than Rs 2000. With this work, women can earn from Rs 8000/- to Rs 10000/- per month.
The way Bank Sakhi Yojana is running in Uttar Pradesh and banking facilities have been easily delivered to rural areas. In the same way, now by implementing Bijli Sakhi or Vidyut Sakhi Yojana, online electricity bill payment will be done from home in rural areas. So far, out of 15310 women selected in the state, electricity bills worth Rs 625 crore have been collected by 5395 active members, which is a great achievement of this scheme.

Application process:
For offline application, first of all, you have to visit the office/officers of any NRLM group running in your village. This scheme is only for women associated with the group.
After this, you have to get the application form for Bijli Sakhi Yojana.
All the required information asked in the application form has to be filled.
The application form has to be submitted to the NRLM office by attaching all the required documents.
